The time will be announced closer to the date Date: 05/05/12 Time: Bluebell Walk at Newport Forest The annual bluebell walk at Newport Forest is set to go again this year. Date: 11/06/11 Time: 10 a.m. Workday at Joany's Woods Please join us at Joany's Woods for the removal of Autumn and Russian Olive, Trail Maintenance and Installing Boundary Signs. Start 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. Please wear boots or strong shoes, dress for the weather. Bring work gloves, drinking water and snacks.Certified chain-saw operators (with saw and safety equipment) are needed at Joany’s Woods. Others bring loppers if you have them. Joany’s Woods is located northwest of Sylvan, Ontario From London take Fanshawe Park Road west to Lobo and turn right onto Nairn Road. Follow the Nairn Road until it merges with Elginfield Road (Highway 7). Continue west on Elginfield Road to the village of Sylvan (look for the bookstore). At Sylvan turn right (north) onto Sylvan Road. Go one concession north and turn left on Elliot Drive. Follow Elliot Drive to the intersection with Boot Hill Road. Joany’s Woods is south on the Boothill Road extension to your left. Depending on the conditions you can park at the intersection and walk in, or drive down to the parking area.
